A Holiday Construction Story
’Tis the season at The Rink Sports Pavilion,
Where hard hats and hockey hats share the same vision.
As December rolled in with a jingling cheer,
The crews laced their boots for the last work-week of the year.
A Slab Story…
With shovels in hand and the cold morning air,
The ground teams cleared soil with holiday flair.
They mucked and they leveled, they filled and they packed,
Preparing the slab with precision intact.
Then came an equipment lift, soaring so high—
Like a glowing sleigh drifting through winter’s sky.
It rose with a hum, with a shimmer so bright,
As if kissed by the glow of warm holiday lights.
Inside the Pavilion…
Magic Was Stirring
Deep in the walls where the wiring runs tight,
New lines were placed just right for the night.
Thermostats nestled in newly framed halls,
Like ornaments hung along festive-lit walls.
Above, overhead crews floated high in the beams,
Installing new piping with peppermint dreams.
Ductwork was placed with a whispering cheer,
Promising comfort for skaters next year.
The Sparkle of Safety
Overhead sprinklers went up one by one,
Shining softly like twinkling lights just begun.
They glowed with the promise of safety so bright.
Like holiday beacons guiding the night.
A View From the Sky…
A Pavilion of Wonder
A drone soared above with holiday pride,
Capturing rooftops that shimmered far and wide.
The Pavilion below, wrapped in winter’s embrace,
Looked almost ready for skaters to race.
And So, The Story Concludes, but not to an end…
’Tis the season of progress, of joy, and delight,
Of crews working steadily through each frosty night.
As The Rink comes to life, one beam at a time,
We celebrate each milestone in holiday rhyme.
