AMG & Associates, Inc. received notice that we are the “responsive and responsible bidder” on the East Los Angeles College Fitness Center. This new project at ELAC, contracted at just over one million dollars, will be our third project on campus to date and increases total contracts for the Los Angeles Community College District to nearly 4.5 million.

The nonprofit organlzatlon, which is supported by grants and donations, has almost all the funds it nceds to start construction in December on a $6.3-million youth center, which will allow more children to be served and will removee the burden of using the preschool room as a youth center. The Times’ Holiday Fund gave $25,000 this year to support the center’s youth programs.

Mar Vista Family Center Addition December, 2007
AMG & Associates, Inc. was recently awarded a $4,140,000.00 addition to the Mar Vista Family Center located in Culver City, CA. The project is a 2 story, 11,164 square foot addition to the existing facility. The project is for the Mar Vista Institute, which is a non-profit organization that provides pre-school, after school programs, tutoring, and leadership training. Albert M. Giacomazzi, President of AMG & Associates, Inc commented that: “This is our second project that we are working on that is giving back to the community. We are very proud to be involved in projects that are benefiting society. This is a unique project that has youth workers that will actually be involved in the building process that have been involved in the Mar Vista Family Center.”

AMG & Associates was recently awarded La Casita de las Mamas by the Southern California Drug and Alcohol Programs, Inc (SCADP). SCADP is a non-profit organization that provides drug and alcohol treatment facilities. This particular facility is for drug and alcohol treatment for women. Albert M. Giacomazzi, President of AMG & Associates indicates: “I am very pleased that our company is able to participate in a project that is giving back to the community for those that are in need of treatment. We are looking forward to a successful project with SCADP.”

The County of Ventura awarded AMG & Associates, Inc. the VCFPD (Ventura County Fire Protection District) Piru Station #28 located in Piru California. The project is a $1.2 million expansion and renovation to the existing fire station. Construction is scheduled to begin in early August of this year.

AMG & Associates, Inc. receives the award for the project known as Temporary Facilities R5a Relocation / N2 Modernization at the East Los Angeles College campus in Monterey Park California. This $598,000 project consists of relocating one modular building and providing security upgrades to another existing facility. The project must be completed in just 60 days.

Physical Plant key milestone met at East Los Angeles College. On Thursday, June 7th AMG & Associates, Inc. received and set the eleven modular building components that make up the new office and storage building for the East Los Angeles College Physical Plant Facility. Tony Traverso, Vice President and Project Manager, had the following to say about achieving such a key milestone. “ Without question, receiving and setting the modular buildings was the critical path for the project. I’m very pleased that we were able to accomplish our goal. This was a true team effort.”

Raymond Williams, the project superintendent, added his appreciation to the subcontractors, end user, project manager and design team for their work and coordination.

AMG & Associates was awarded Bid Package CA 07-03A; New Food Service Building in the amount of $2,817,000.00. This happens to be an extra special project for AMG & Associates because it is Albert M. Giacomazzi’s high school alma mater.

AMG & Associates, Inc. is apparent low bidder at Canyon High School. AMG submitted a bid today for the New Food Service Building R at Canyon High School, in Canyon Country CA. AMGs bid of approximately $2.8 million was the apparent low bid. Award of a contract is pending review and approval by the Board of Directors for the William S. Hart Union High School District

AMG & Associates, Inc. receives the award of the contracts E01 and E08 at Emblem Elementary School

AMG & Associates, Inc is the apparent low bidder at Emblem Elementary School. AMG submitted bids today on three separate multi-prime bid packages for the Emblem Elementary School project located in Saugus California. AMG is the apparent low bidder on two of the three bid packages, E01-General Construction and E08-Doors and Windows. The two combined are over $1.5 million. Award of the contracts is pending review and approval by the Board of Directors for Saugus Union School District and is expected within the next two weeks.

AMG receives the contract to refurbish the Heritage Park Entry Bridges. Heritage Park is a Griffin Industries residential development located in Fillmore California. The residential neighborhood is accessed via old steel constructed railroad bridges that blend with the architecture and feel of the community. AMG was hired to refurbish the bridges that will serve as the main entry into the development.

AMG & Associates, Inc. is awarded Bid No. 1822-Mira Monte High School (Comprehensive High School No. 1-2004) Portion Two: Finish Carpentry for the Kern High School District. The project is a one hundred million dollar new high school in Bakersfield California. AMG bid and received the award for the finish carpentry package worth $1,365,000. Tony Traverso, Vice President for AMG states, we are excited to once again work with the Kern High School District and look forward to participating in the construction of such an incredible facility.

AMG was awarded the East Los Angeles College Physical Plant Building Project. The project consists of the construction of two new buildings for the college physical plant facilities including an office building, storage building and all related sitework. The project value is approximately $2.4 million.
