Things are really rolling at The Rink Sports Pavilion this week.
Crews made major progress loading the roof, continuing exterior framing, and buttoning up key interior elements like the kitchen hood ductwork. Steel, soffits, rails, and finishes are all coming together as this space starts to look more and more like the future home of nonstop action and community fun.
And then… there was The Rink Lake.
After some generous rainfall, an unexpected body of water decided to make a guest appearance inside the pavilion. While we’re pretty sure “roller lake” isn’t an official Olympic sport yet, we’re confident it would require excellent balance and waterproof skates. The good news? The lake was promptly pumped out, and no roller rinks were harmed in the making of the Rink Sports Pavilion.
Despite the rain, progress remained steady. Runoff was carefully monitored, safety stayed the top priority, and work continued moving forward with no skis required.
Stay tuned as this exciting facility continues to take shape. From dry floors to smooth finishes, The Rink Sports Pavilion is well on its way to becoming a place where the community can roll, gather, and make memories (preferably without accidental lakes).
Happy Holidays from the project team
