3490	9/11 Memorial Park Expand Details and Scope Project Type New Construction Owner City of Rancho Cucamonga Square Footage See scope Project Status Bidding Project Valuation $2M Prevailing Wage Yes Location Rancho Cucamonga, CA (San Bernardino County) Scope RCFPD proposes to construct a new Memorial Park to commemorate September 11th, as well as fallen service members from the Rancho Cucamonga area. The memorial park is centered around three artifacts from September 11: Steel from the World Trade Center Building, pieces of the plane from Flight 93, and a piece of the Pentagon. The artifacts have been arranged with the same spatial relationship that the three September 11 sites have to one another: Lower Manhattan NY(WTC location), Storystown Pennsylvania (crash site of flight 93), and Arlington Virginia/Washington DC (pentagon location). The overall scale between the physical sites has been reduced to 1/4000 for the Memorial Park. The September 11 artifacts have been linked together with a canopied walking path, and a central canopied gathering space occupying the space in between. Along the paths, in the space between the artifacts, are two Corten (laser cut) and granite block monuments. these monuments are to commemorate fallen service members from the Rancho Cucamonga area, who lost their lives in the wars in Afghanistan and the Iraq war respectively. Placed in the remaining space along the path that links the September 11 artifacts, is a planter with three flagpoles; a shaped granite pedestal with an eternal flame; and a laser cut Corten plaque. The purpose of the flagpoles, eternal flame, and plaque is to look to forward to the possibilities that the future affords. The September 11 memorial park includes seating (granite/wood/steel benches) that flank both memorials to fallen service members, a large central gathering space for events, a picnicking area as well as an area for sensory/herb garden plantings and arboretum/gathering space education/group teaching spaces, there is also as a labyrinth/meditation garden. By submitting a bid or proposal to AMG & Associates™, subcontractor/supplier agrees that all bids and proposals that are accepted by AMG & Associates, Inc. will be subject to the the terms and conditions of AMG & Associates, Inc.’s Standard Subcontract Agreement when bidding/proposing as a subcontractor/supplier (or, at AMG & Associates election, the terms and conditions of AMG & Associates, Inc.’s Standard Purchase Order Agreement when bidding as a supplier), as well as the requirements of all project documents, including, but not limited to, the project plans, specifications, bid instructions, conditions (general and special), pre-bid addenda, and all other incorporated documents. In the event of a conflict between or among any of the project bid documents, subcontractor/supplier’s bid or proposal shall be deemed to include the more stringent requirement. Subcontractor/supplier further agrees that it is its responsibility to verify with the awarding authority the existence of all project bid documents, and that subcontractor/supplier shall not rely solely on the accuracy of the contents of the AMG & Associates Bid Center or Project tabs. It is understood and agreed by subcontractor/supplier that AMG& Associates, Inc., may, at its discretion, require 100% payment and performance bonds from subcontractor/supplier, and that the requirements for such bonds are outlined in the standard subcontract agreement.
