AMG wrapped up construction at La Puente High School and was nominated for a SEWUP Safety Award endorsed by Keenan Loss Control. During the course of construction AMG maintained a 0% Workers’ Compensation Loss Ratio, a 0% General Liability Loss Ratio, and 0% Builder’s Risk Loss Ratio. At AMG, safety is our highest priority and we instill a culture of safe practices in every project we build, every worker we employ, and every site we manage. In our commitment to create and maintain a safe working environment, our ultimate objective is to achieve a record of ZERO accidents. This is accomplished by identifying clear and sensible priorities at the onset of a project, implementing strategies which focus on fixing the underlying causes of problems, providing ongoing training and education for our field personnel, and creating a proactive approach to safety awareness.
The La Puente High School Pool, Kitchen & Dressing Room project was awarded to AMG in April 2020 by the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District. Under the management of Balfour Beatty Construction, and with DSA approved Drawings created by DLR Group, AMG completed this project in October 2022. This $12 million project included new construction of a 25 yard, 12-lane swimming pool, an addition of 400 SF to the dressing room building to include ADA showers, restroom and pool equipment room. It also included construction of a new 4,350 SF kitchen with 3 lunch shelter structures and site improvements.
