Santa Clarita-based contracting company AMG & Associates Inc. will celebrate the completion of the Tommye D. Warner Annex at Valley View Community School in Newhall with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Sept. 9.
AMG oversaw the construction of the campus’s new two-story building named in honor of the late Tommye D. Warner and her 16 years of service to the Sulphur Springs Union School District as a school psychologist and director of special education. The building has a first floor area designated specifically for special needs students and includes a state-of-the-art playground area that strictly conforms to the Americans with Disabilities Act.
The construction of the annex was a part of a larger $13.2 million project, as AMG continues its work on campus, managing the construction of additions and other renovations to Valley View’s 38,000-square-foot administration building. Those improvements include the installation of fire sprinklers, creating new parking, upgrading utilities and installing a new elevator. The project is expected to be fully completed by late spring 2017.
“The Tommye D. Warner Annex and all the improvements we’re making to Valley View will benefit the campus community for many years,” said Albert Giacomazzi, AMG’s president and CEO, in a statement. “All of us at AMG are proud to be able to contribute to the education of young students in the Santa Clarita Valley in such a meaningful way.”
AMG’s track record of success has garnered it a spot on the 2016 Inc. 5000, which honors the top 5,000 fastest growing private companies in the United States. This year marks the fifth time AMG has been named to this prestigious list.
