Scope of Work
Construction of a monument honoring Japanese Americans incarcerated during World War II on a 2.8-acre site located at the corner of Prairie Avenue and 190th Street. The monument features 24 granite walls of varying lengths engraved with the names of internees, along with three granite information panel walls. Additional site elements include granite and basalt paving with engraved text, site lighting, perimeter landscaping with trees and plantings, and required grading. The scope of work also includes the construction of a new 171-square-foot restroom facility with a canopy structure, reconstruction of concrete pathways, partial restriping of the existing parking lot, rebuilding of existing curbs, and installation of new curbs to provide ADA-compliant access.
