
Albert M. Giacomazzi
President and CEO
Albert M. Giacomazzi is the President and CEO of AMG & Associates, Inc. He has 47 years of experience in the construction industry and 30 years of Executive Management experience. Albert founded AMG in 2005 and the company has been recognized on Inc. 5000’s list of America’s Fastest Growing Private Companies – seven times in a row. He has been responsible for the completion of over $1 billion in construction projects with numerous school districts, various county and local agencies, the Air Force, Marine Corps, Navy, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, NASA, several fire stations, as well as non-profit and private organizations.
Albert’s experience includes design-build and design-bid-build projects, preconstruction services, lease leaseback services, as well as numerous DSA and K-12 projects on active campuses throughout California. While some things have changed in the industry over time, many things have not; such as a hands on approach to construction with a passionate belief in our employees and a desire to build relationships based on integrity and trust.
As President, Albert Giacomazzi has centered the growth of AMG around identifying emerging trends and implementing procedures to streamline and improve tracking and reporting systems. Albert holds a Bachelors Degree in business management, a Masters Degree in business administration, and holds active licenses in General Engineering A, General Construction B, and Asbestos and Hazard Abatement.

Anthony Traverso
Executive Vice President
As Executive Vice President of AMG & Associates, Inc., Anthony Traverso brings valuable experience in both the field and the corporate administrative structure of AMG. His experience includes over $800 million in public and private projects with a strong leadership role as acting Project Executive and Field Operations.
Anthony’s experience in College, K-12, Fire Station and laboratory projects brings a valuable asset to AMG. Anthony is heavily involved in the bid day process with the estimating team and excels in fostering relationships with subcontractors, not only on bid day, but throughout the course of construction. He is proactive on all of the projects he oversees and has a proven track record of success in cost control measures.
Anthony holds a Bachelors Degree in construction management with a minor in business development and economics.

Anthony Tumasone
Vice President of Finance
Tony has been AMG’s Controller since 2013, with a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree (emphasis in Finance and Accounting). He has 40 years of experience in the construction industry and has been responsible for the closing of $1 billion in construction projects - both in the public and private sectors. Additionally, he has a proven track record of success in cost control measures, resulting in profit margins that consistently meet or exceed project goals. Tony is responsible for AMG’s Finance and Information Technology Departments.

James Nies
South Region Projects Executive
Jim offers a diverse background in numerous types of construction projects in public works at the Federal, State, County and City levels over his 34 years in the industry. The various levels of Agencies he has worked with will provide the project with extensive experience in the ability to collaborate with the City’s team. His strong leadership approach enables him to execute and fulfill the City’s Contract, policies and procedures. Jim’s ability to partner with all stakeholders, provide open communication and discussions, collaborate with Owners, Design Teams, Third Party Utility Services, and End User Groups, creates a project with a positive working environment. Using his vast experience, identifying potential issues, on any matter, early on is his proactive approach. He will lead the collaboration effort with the Project Team for solutions, utilizing everyone from field labor to Owner. Early identification, quick and collaborative resolution followed with swift execution of issues is Jim’s proactive approach in this most common aspect and challenge with a project.

Mitchell Gaasch
Central Region, Projects Executive
Mitch is AMG’s Projects Executive for the Central Valley projects. Mitch has extensive experience as Maintenance Operations Manager, Facilities Project Manager, Operations Manager, Project Manager, Estimator, and Construction Superintendent. He has extensive knowledge in several types of construction including K-12, public works, private commercial, medical, and residential. He has been in the construction industry for more than 35 years as a Laborer, Carpenter, Foreman, Superintendent, Construction Project Manager, Estimator, Operations Manager, Facilities Project Manager and Maintenance & Operations Manager. He places a strong emphasis on team building utilizing communication and coordination to convey clear direction and expectations and have developed successful processes and programs by understanding the needs of stakeholders and creating a positive and productive work environment.
